Paul Wesley Has an Interesting Vampire Diaries Ending in Mind for Steroline

Image
Paul Wesley  has directed five episodes of  The Vampire Diaries , but tonight's outing, "Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path to Hell," is (sadly) his last. "This is the last one that I'll ever do—on this show," he tells E! News. Not because he doesn't want to direct anymore, but because the show is ending (duh). In fact, Wesley already has a gig lined up directing an episode of Freeform's  Shadowhunters  in March. But right now, he's enjoying filming the final few episodes of  TVD —they're on season eight's 13th episode, right now (out of 16)—and hopped on the phone with us to discuss his directing ambitions and whether Stefan and Caroline ( Candice King ) can have a happy ending. Wesley:   Yeah, for sure, to a degree—I think it's run its course and all things must end, but yeah of course! It wasn't really my goodbye, because of course I did go back to filming literally the next day. So it's not like I was sa

Image
The Manchester City boss knows his team must contain two players he knows well from his time in Spain when they take on the Blues at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday Pep Guardiola has warned Manchester City of the threat that will be posed by Diego Costa and Pedro when Chelsea visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. Guardiola managed Pedro at Barcelona and also faced former Atletico Madrid striker Costa during his time at Camp Nou. The Catalan knows both forwards will present a significant barrier to City maintaining their unbeaten home record in the Premier League this season. He said of Costa: "He’s a top player. He made an amazing season at Atletico and then came here. He's a top player. He is a top scorer and has good movement when he runs in behind." Of Pedro, he added: "I hope Pedro doesn't perform well. "I have to thank him, he made me a better manager. He works great between the lines, near the box he's a killer. He is one

Conte: It is a pity Chelsea sold De Bruyne

Image
The Italian has admitted he would rather the Belgian playmaker was not playing for Manchester City in the clash at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has admitted it is a "pity" the Blues sold Kevin De Bruyne ahead of their clash with Manchester City on Saturday. Conte's side have won seven consecutive top-flight matches and sit one point clear of Liverpool and City at the top of the Premier League ahead of the meeting at the Etihad Stadium. De Bruyne is likely to play a key part in City's attempts to overturn that deficit, with the Belgian having developed into one of the world's outstanding midfield playmakers since Chelsea allowed him to join Wolfsburg in 2014. And Conte has admitted he is an admirer of a player the Blues allowed to slip from their grasp under Jose Mourinho. "De Bruyne played with Chelsea and I think he is a really great player," Conte said when asked if Chelsea had let De Bruyne
