DORTMUND SET TO SACK BOSZ

Borussia Dortmund are set to finally sack under-performing manager Peter Bosz, according to Bild .
The former Ajax coach had an initial strong start in the Bundesliga, but a disastrous Champions League campaign as well as a string of bad results in domestic competition has seen his honeymoon period at Dortmund abruptly end.

The 54-year-old was given the vote of confidence by the board in November, but with results still failing to improve, they have decided to pull the plug in the hopes of salvaging their season.

1000 applicants jostle for 135 teaching jobs in Lagos

No fewer than 1,000 applicants have applied for employment in the State Universal Basic Education Board Federal Teachers Scheme in Lagos. The Head, Public Relations of SUBEB, Mr Seyi Akitoye, on Tuesday said that the board were still receiving more applications even after the November 24 deadline. Akitoye said only 500 applicants would be shortlisted in Lagos out of which 135 teachers would be recruited by the Universal Basic Education Council in Abuja. He said that the names of those shortlisted in Lagos would be forwarded to Abuja for final screening. Akitoye said that UBEC would conduct the screening and test to select 135 successful applicants out of the 500 names that were shortlisted from Lagos State. Trump picks trade fight with Canada

Trade tensions spiked between Washington and Ottawa on Tuesday as President Donald Trump accused Canada of being "very rough" on America and threatened to retaliate against restrictions on US dairy products. Trump also touted his administration's surprise decision late Monday to rekindle an old trade conflict with America's second-largest trading partner by slapping new tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber. "People don't realize, Canada has been very rough on the United States.
