Ronaldo issues party ban after Clasico defeat

The Real Madrid superstar has ordered his girlfriend to stop organising parties following the thrilling 3-2 defeat to La Liga rivals Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo should have had a good weekend as Real Madrid hosted Barcelona in El Clasico, however it ended in disappointment as Lionel Messi stole the show in a 3-2 Barca victory.

Instead of celebrating a Madrid win at a party organised by girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo was left reeling from Messi's 500th Barcelona goal.

According to reports in Portugal, Rodriguez had arranged an after-match event at Ronaldo's home in Madrid, allowing the expected celebrations to continue long after the final whistle at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the loss to their La Liga rivals caused the party to be cancelled - with Ronaldo going even further by banning his significant other from organising any future parties around big games.

The couple have been dating for seven months, with them appearing together at the Best FIFA Football Awards in January, along with Ronaldo's son Cristiano Jr.

Rodriguez has also been spending more time with Ronaldo's mother Dolores Aveiro, but will not be hosting any more parties in Cristiano's honour for the foreseeable future.
