Cardi B won it all during the BET Hip Hop Awards

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took home multiple awards and killed her live performance.It was no surprise when BET announced that Cardi B was nominated for multiple awards for the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper ended up taking home the awards for Hustler of the Year, Single of the Year, and Best New Artist.

DJ Khaled introduced the rap newcomer as the crowd rose to their feet to welcome her to the stage. Dressed in a floor-length fur with pops of neon color, Cardi stepped out of a bodega door, rapping, “Said lil’ bitch, you can’t fuck with me if you wanted to.”
Dudes playing cee-lo, another kicking back on a bench and plenty of fine women dancing with Cardi kept all eyes on the stage. Before finishing off her set, The Bronx native let the fur go and showed off velvet pink pants and a bejeweled bralette.

She also performed the No. 1, platinum single with her own Bronx flair. 

For Cardi’s performance, the backdrop of the stage was a bodega, while the rapper stole the show in a huge coat and diamond bralette.


 “Bodak Yellow” recently beat Lauryn Hill’s record for the longest running No. 1 single from a solo woman rapper. 


During her acceptance speech for Best New Artist, the 24-year-old shouted out her fans, Jesus, and of course her boyfriend. “This has been one of the greatest nights of my life, but you, you’re gonna make it better,” she said pointing to Migos' Offset.

1000 applicants jostle for 135 teaching jobs in Lagos

No fewer than 1,000 applicants have applied for employment in the State Universal Basic Education Board Federal Teachers Scheme in Lagos. The Head, Public Relations of SUBEB, Mr Seyi Akitoye, on Tuesday said that the board were still receiving more applications even after the November 24 deadline. Akitoye said only 500 applicants would be shortlisted in Lagos out of which 135 teachers would be recruited by the Universal Basic Education Council in Abuja. He said that the names of those shortlisted in Lagos would be forwarded to Abuja for final screening. Akitoye said that UBEC would conduct the screening and test to select 135 successful applicants out of the 500 names that were shortlisted from Lagos State.
