Premier League top scorers 2017-18: Aguero pulls level with Kane as Salah leads the way

The race for the 2017-18 Premier League Golden Boot is well and truly on, with the usual suspects surging into an early lead.

Harry Kane was the clear winner of last season's crown, bagging 29 goals in 30 appearances for Tottenham, while Romelu Lukaku followed with 25 in 37 games for Everton.

New faces such as Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah have been added into the mix this season, meaning that the competition is certainly greater.
And the battle is currently as tight as expected, with Salah edging Kane at the top.

Salah has had a brilliant start to life in the Premier League, leading the way with 10 goals.
Kane and Sergio Aguero follow on nine goals each, while Morata, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus are all on eight.
Leroy Sane, Alexandre Lacazette and Jamie Vardy are level on six goals.

Trump picks trade fight with Canada

Trade tensions spiked between Washington and Ottawa on Tuesday as President Donald Trump accused Canada of being "very rough" on America and threatened to retaliate against restrictions on US dairy products. Trump also touted his administration's surprise decision late Monday to rekindle an old trade conflict with America's second-largest trading partner by slapping new tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber. "People don't realize, Canada has been very rough on the United States. 1000 applicants jostle for 135 teaching jobs in Lagos

No fewer than 1,000 applicants have applied for employment in the State Universal Basic Education Board Federal Teachers Scheme in Lagos. The Head, Public Relations of SUBEB, Mr Seyi Akitoye, on Tuesday said that the board were still receiving more applications even after the November 24 deadline. Akitoye said only 500 applicants would be shortlisted in Lagos out of which 135 teachers would be recruited by the Universal Basic Education Council in Abuja. He said that the names of those shortlisted in Lagos would be forwarded to Abuja for final screening. Akitoye said that UBEC would conduct the screening and test to select 135 successful applicants out of the 500 names that were shortlisted from Lagos State.
